Whitinsville Christian’s girls volleyball squad opened the season 2-0 with straight-set wins over Millbury and Douglas, delivering two dominant 3-0 results. Senior leader Faith Najem has been central to the early success: she recorded 16 service points and 15 assists in the opener, then followed with a 29-service-point night that included 10 aces and eight kills against Douglas. Najem’s consistency in distributing and serving has been a major factor.

Maria Ramos has been another calm force, contributing three aces and nine kills against Millbury and following with ten service points and two aces versus Douglas. Together, the senior captains are giving the Crusaders an experienced core to lean on as they aim to go one step further than last year, when Whitinsville reached the D5 championship before falling to Bourne.

With a veteran group and strong starts from Najem and Ramos, the Crusaders look primed for another deep run. Expect the team to keep a high standard as the season progresses and the Crusaders chase the one trophy that eluded them last spring.
