The Nipmuc Warriors girls’ lacrosse team reinforced its playoff credentials with two impressive wins to open the week. On Monday afternoon, the Warriors edged top-ten Division 2 Westborough, eking out an 11–9 victory over the ninth-ranked Rangers. In a tightly contested match, Nipmuc battled back from an early deficit, capitalizing on ground-ball wins and key draw controls to fuel its attack. The Rangers’ swift transition game tested the Warriors’ defense, but clutch saves and timely clears helped Nipmuc maintain a narrow lead down the stretch. Building off that momentum, Nipmuc returned home yesterday against the Northbridge Rams and delivered a dominant 19–9 performance. The Warriors’ offensive unit was in peak form, led by hat-trick efforts from Fallon Lozano, Paige Anderson, Amelia Corbin, and Riley Collura. Their balanced scoring attack overwhelmed the Rams, whose defense simply couldn’t contain the onslaught. With crisp passing and relentless ride pressure, Nipmuc consistently found high-percentage shot opportunities. These consecutive victories, coming after a disappointing 16–9 loss to Wayland last Friday, solidify the Warriors’ standing in the Division 4 playoff picture. As the postseason approaches, Nipmuc will look to sustain this level of play and make a deep tournament run under its veteran leadership and explosive offense.
