Last night at Forekicks in Marlborough, the Nipmuc girls’ lacrosse team showcased its offensive firepower with a 17–2 victory over the AMSA Eagles. Nipmuc rebounded impressively after a narrow 10–9 loss to Grafton on Friday, improving to 7–4 overall and winning five of their last seven contests. The Warriors’ balanced attack featured contributions up and down the roster, as they attacked the crease with speed and precision, repeatedly finding open shooters. AMSA, now 2–9 on the year, managed just two goals against Nipmuc’s stingy defense and outstanding draw control. The Warriors’ ability to secure possessions and transition quickly created a steady stream of scoring opportunities while simultaneously preventing opportunities for the Eagles. Multiple Nipmuc scorers reached the net at least twice, underscoring the depth of the lineup and the coaching staff’s emphasis on ball movement and shot selection. Up next, Nipmuc will host the Tantasqua Warriors, currently 9–2 with five straight wins, on Thursday at 4 PM. Earlier this season, Nipmuc defeated Tantasqua 18–10, led by Jayden Lilburn’s eight-goal outburst. The rematch promises another high-octane affair as both teams vie for positioning atop the league standings.
