The Uxbridge Spartans softball team maintained its flawless start to the season with a staggering 22-0 shutout of Quaboag on Tuesday. Entering the game 10-0, the Spartans displayed the kind of offensive firepower and pitching depth that has defined their run through the early schedule. Bailey Dzivasen led the barrage, belting three home runs and driving in five runs, a performance that showcased her ability to change the game with one swing. Erin O’Day continued her offensive consistency, going 4-for-4 with two RBIs, even on nights when she isn’t on the mound. Supporting roles were equally vital. Lola Grube, Kiera Paul, and Olivia Pirrotta combined for ten RBIs, ensuring that every Spartan in the lineup contributed to the rout. On the pitching end, although O’Day did not take the circle, the staff collectively tallied ten strikeouts, splitting work among Dzivasen, Grube, and Paul to stifle Quaboag’s hitters. With an unblemished 11-0 record, Uxbridge stands as one of the state’s premier programs. Their next opponents will need game-long focus to withstand both the Spartans’ power at the plate and their deep, versatile pitching staff. As postseason seeding looms, Uxbridge’s perfect record and balanced roster make them a clear favorite to contend for a state title.
