The Uxbridge Spartans continued their dominant Division 3 field hockey season with another emphatic victory over Sutton on Tuesday afternoon. Uxbridge entered the match unbeaten at 11-0 and boasting a staggering season scoring total, seventy-six goals for and just four goals allowed, and they did not relent against the Suzies. From the opening whistle, the Spartans imposed their tempo, controlling possession, winning 50/50 battles, and generating repeated chances in the attacking circle.

Julianna Casucci was a constant danger, finishing with two goals and an assist and reaching a major milestone with her 100th career goal. Several other Spartans got on the scoresheet as Uxbridge spread the ball and finished cleanly in transition. Sutton, which came into the game with an 8-2-2 record and a recent 4-0-1 run, could not find a way to slow Uxbridge’s pace or break through their disciplined defensive structure. Uxbridge goalkeeper Julia Okenquist again recorded a shutout, adding another tidy night in goal for the Spartans.

Uxbridge will host Case on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., aiming to keep the momentum and maintain its impressive margins. The Spartans have now made their case as one of the top teams in the region, leading by example with both offensive firepower and stingy defense.
