Uxbridge softball continues to dominate the Division 4 scene, cruising to an 18-0 win over Northbridge. With the victory, the Spartans remain atop the MIAA D4 power rankings, boasting a commanding lead over second-place Hampshire Regional. Erin O’Day was brilliant once again, throwing a one-hitter and striking out 12 in a performance that has become standard for the Uxbridge ace. Offensively, the Spartans were relentless. Emma Peloquin and Gabriela Belanger combined for 8 RBIs, while nine different players drove in runs. Their depth and consistency make them nearly impossible to game-plan against. Uxbridge now turns its attention to Bay Path RVT in a 3:30 PM matchup at home. The Minutemen, coming off a close loss to Millbury, will try to play spoiler, but it’s clear the Spartans are operating at a championship level. With a 13-0 record and no signs of slowing down, Uxbridge is on a mission to finish what they started. As long as they stay healthy and focused, this team has all the tools to win a state title.
