Uxbridge Field Hockey Keeps Rolling

Uxbridge’s field hockey juggernaut stayed in stride with an 8-0 shutout of Winchester that extended the Spartans’ unbeaten run to 13-0. The scoring was balanced and relentless: Julianna Casucci and Ava Rosborough each netted two goals while Kendall Gilmore, Addie Blood, Aubrey Bouchard, and Maddie Cammuso also added markers. Between the pipes, Julia Okenquist earned another clean sheet, and the defense limited Winchester to a few clear chances throughout.

Uxbridge’s season has been defined by depth and finishing: the Spartans don’t need a single superstar to carry them because scoring threats come from multiple positions. That balance makes handling their attack particularly difficult for opponents. Uxbridge’s transition game has been fast and precise, frequently turning defensive stops into immediate scoring opportunities.

Tonight’s matchup at Doherty should present a different challenge; Doherty enters with a solid midseason mark, and Uxbridge will need to maintain intensity and focus to avoid any letdowns. But given how the Spartans have dominated all phases like shot creation, penalty corner execution, and defensive discipline, they enter as heavy favorites.

Uxbridge’s sustained scoring margin and defensive stinginess are more than a flash; they reflect a program in full control. If the Spartans stay healthy and keep rotating players effectively, they’ll enter the postseason as one of the state’s most dangerous teams.
