Uxbridge baseball continues to prove it’s one of the top teams in the state with a statement win over previously undefeated Auburn. The Rockets came into the game ranked No. 2 in Massachusetts and sitting at 11-0, but the Spartans had other plans. Behind standout performances from their top players, Uxbridge pulled off a 6-2 upset to improve to 9-2 on the season. Charlie Criscola was dominant yet again, delivering a single, a triple, and driving in two runs to spark the offense. Grady Walsh added a timely single and brought home two more. On the mound, Willem Haker pitched 5 1/3 strong innings, striking out five to hold Auburn in check before the bullpen closed the door. The Spartans’ balanced play and clutch hitting gave Auburn its first taste of defeat in 2024. Uxbridge looks ahead to continuing its hot streak in the second half of the season with playoff momentum building.
