The Tri-County Cougars continue their impressive season, improving to 13-1 after a dramatic 5-3 extra-inning win over Bristol Plymouth. It was their second win since dropping their only game of the season to Southeastern RVT. The pressure of an undefeated season may be gone, but the Cougars are still playing elite softball. Bristol Plymouth entered the matchup 10-1, making this a true test. Junior Shelby Estrella did her best to lift the Craftsmen, driving in two runs, but Tri-County ultimately came out on top in the 10th. With playoff positioning at stake, the Cougars will face Blue Hills RVT next as they aim to boost their MIAA power ranking, where they currently sit 19th in D4. A strong finish to the regular season could set them up for a deep postseason run. Their ability to win close games against top-tier opponents speaks volumes about their grit and leadership. With pitching depth, clutch hitting, and a battle-tested roster, Tri-County looks ready to take on all challengers heading into the final stretch.
