Tri-County softball bounced back effectively after a rare 7–4 loss to Bristol-Plymouth RVT on Monday afternoon. The Panthers, who entered the week at 12–1, saw their five-game win streak snapped by a veteran Bristol-Plymouth squad now 14–3. Despite the disappointment, Tri-County’s focus never wavered as they prepared for their next challenge. In Tuesday’s clash with Norfolk County Agricultural, the Panthers demonstrated why they’ve been one of the region’s most consistent teams. Their pitching staff delivered clutch strikeouts in key moments, while the defense executed smart plays to cut off rally attempts. Offensively, Tri-County showcased its depth: timely singles, aggressive base running, and a willingness to manufacture runs in tight situations. The lineup put up runs in every inning, highlighted by a mix of doubles that kept Norfolk’s defenders off-balance. Now standing at 13–2, Tri-County returns home today at 3:30 PM to host Bristol County High School. The Chieftains, 5–10 on the season, offer a prime opportunity for the Panthers to extend their rebound and build momentum before the playoffs. With their pitching staff firing on all cylinders and a lineup comfortable in high-pressure at-bats, Tri-County is poised to add another win and continue its march toward postseason success.
