The Uxbridge boys soccer team capped a solid 11-3-4 regular season as the No. 12 seed in D4, but exited the tournament in the second round after falling 2-0 to Rockland on Sunday.
Uxbridge began the playoffs confidently, dismantling No. 21 Littleton 4-1 in round one. Gabriel Gomes, Steven Leach, Kameron Desroches, and Wilson Obiocha all got on the scoresheet, while Cam Gray, Sebastian Molit and Dawsen Levesque contributed assists, eight different players factored directly in the scoring attack, and Littleton had little answer.
The second-round matchup with Rockland flipped the script. Rockland’s disciplined, disruptive defense and efficient offense kept Uxbridge from establishing its rhythm; the Spartans were unable to generate the opportunities that defined their earlier form and ultimately finished the season in disappointment.
Although the playoff run ended sooner than Uxbridge hoped, the season featured strong balance, depth of contributors and a foundation to build on next year. The Spartans will return a core that can grow from this experience and target a deeper postseason trip in 2025.
