The Northbridge Rams faced a dangerous Nipmuc Warriors squad last Friday and came away with a convincing 28-6 victory. Northbridge sprinted to a hot start, scoring 14 first-quarter points on Joel LaChapelle’s two TD passes to Matt Coughlin and Kevin DiMuzio.
The Rams were held scoreless in the second and third quarters, while Nipmuc’s Tyler Rainbow found the end zone in the third to keep the game within reach. Northbridge turned the heat back on in the fourth, posting another 14 points thanks to a LaChapelle 24-yard rushing TD and a late rushing score from Mo Rodney Daige.
LaChapelle completed 14 of 20 passes for 201 yards and three total TDs in a standout performance under center. Northbridge’s defense also played a crucial role, slowing down Eben Consigli’s rushing attempts and limiting Josh Giancola’s dual-threat impact.
The Rams improve to 6-1 and now prepare for a Saturday 6 PM clash with Millbury. The Woolies are coming off a tight 35-28 loss to Bay Path and will need to be fundamentally sound to slow Northbridge’s balanced attack.
