Despite a challenging start, the Northbridge Rams track and field team celebrated two qualifiers for the upcoming state championships this week. After dropping their season opener to Auburn, 36-100, and then falling 24-112 to Grafton Memorial last Sunday, the Rams found bright spots in Jacob Boone and Seamus White. Boone soared over the Division 6 high jump bar, clearing the required mark to secure his state qualification, while White powered through the 100-meter dash field, hitting the standard for state-level competition. Their achievements inject fresh optimism into a squad still searching for its first dual-meet win. Boone’s leaping ability and White’s explosive speed underscore the individual talent emerging within Northbridge’s ranks. With ample season remaining, these two athletes will carry the Rams’ banner into the state tournament and inspire their teammates to elevate performances at upcoming sectional and invitational meets. Northbridge hopes to translate these standout accomplishments into stronger team showings as the campaign continues.
