Perfect Game Propels Warriors Past Rams

The Northbridge Rams softball team struggled to contain the powerhouse Tantasqua Warriors Wednesday night, suffering a 12-0 defeat that dropped them to 4-5 on the season. Tantasqua, now 13-0, showcased their depth and skill on both sides of the ball. On the mound, Warrior ace Keira McCord delivered a perfect game—striking out 15 batters over seven flawless innings, while also contributing offensively with three RBIs. Her performance epitomized Tantasqua’s season-long dominance. Offensively, the Warriors attacked early, scoring five runs in the first inning and never letting up. Their lineup combined patient plate discipline with power, drawing walks and capitalizing on every mistake. In the field, Tantasqua committed zero errors, converting multiple double plays to extinguish any threat from Northbridge. For the Rams, bumps in the schedule have made consistency difficult. Northbridge will look to rebound today at 4 PM on the road against the Notre Dame Academy Rebels. The Rebels arrive on a seven-game win streak of their own, most recently blasting Burncoat 15-4. Northbridge will once again be underdogs but hopes to find an answer at the plate and on the mound to snap their skid and regain confidence before entering a critical stretch of league play.
