The Franklin Panthers have booked their spot in the finals after a thrilling 52-44 victory over Central Catholic in the semi-finals on Monday night. In a game defined by balance and teamwork, the Panthers overcame a formidable opponent with a well-rounded performance. Caden Sullivan led the charge with 20 points, while Justice Samuels contributed 10 points along with impressive rim protection that kept the Raiders at bay.

Central Catholic, a season-long powerhouse ranked among Massachusetts’ top five with a 17-2 record, proved to be a tough adversary. Their consistent play tested the Panthers, but the collective effort and strategic gameplay of Franklin prevailed in a hard-fought battle.

Now, Franklin prepares to face Newton North in the finals. Newton North is the #3 ranked team in Massachusetts and hold a 26-1 record overall. This demonstrates the challenge they pose for the Panthers. Franklin, a dominant force since head coach CJ Neely took over more than a decade ago, are determined to finish their campaign on a high note. After falling short in previous finals appearances in 2023, 2018, and 2014, this season’s squad is hungry for success and poised to claim the championship banner. With their eyes set on glory, the Panthers look to cap off a magical season with a triumphant finish.
