The Franklin Panthers girls’ tennis team wrapped up the regular season at 13–4, capturing four straight wins after a tight loss to King Philip. Monday’s 5–0 sweep of Milford highlighted their depth: every flight displayed consistent serving, precise footwork, and strategic shot selection. Earlier in the week, a 3–2 victory over Sharon underscored their ability to prevail in high-pressure, close-out matches. Although a midweek match was canceled by weather, the Panthers’ 13–4 final record earned them the No. 14 seed in the Division 1 bracket, an improvement over last year’s lower seeding. Their balanced lineup, from singles to doubles, showcased strong chemistry and court awareness. Franklin made a first-round exit last season but enters this year’s playoffs with greater confidence and momentum. With veterans leading the charge and underclassmen stepping up, the Panthers have the tools to upset higher seeds and advance further than before. Their mix of aggressive net play and patient baseline rallies makes Franklin a formidable contender in the postseason. With four straight wins heading into the playoffs, the Panthers are playing their best ball at the right time.
