The Northbridge Rams girls’ soccer team played the Whitinsville Crusaders yesterday afternoon and performed very well. The Rams pitched a shutout in this one, with Audrey Siemaszko shining in the net and Audra Roby and Lily Proto scoring for the Rams in their 2-0 victory. This match was a familiar story to Northbridge this year, who have rattled off a 6-0 record with three shutouts.

In fact, the Rams’ scoring differential is wild this year, outscoring opponents 26-3, and they haven’t allowed more than one goal against all season. This is unsurprising for the Rams, as they are coming off the heels of a stellar season last fall, which saw Northbridge finish with a 13-2-3 record and the No. 8 seed in D4 girls soccer.

The girls made it all the way to Round 8 before being eliminated. Judging on their play thus far, the girls are looking to make a serious run at a championship and appear to be firing on all cylinders so far. Make sure to catch the Rams’ next game against Millbury tomorrow at 3:30 PM at home. The girls will look for another statement victory over a struggling Woolies squad.
