Northbridge baseball returned to form last night with a gritty 1-0 win over the Grafton Gators. After a tough loss to Weston last Friday, the Rams bounced back behind stellar pitching and timely hitting. Offensively, the Rams had been hot before their stumble against Weston, piling up 25 runs across their two games prior. While their bats are still not fully firing, they delivered when it mattered. Ryder Meagher lifted a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to plate the only run of the day, and Ryan Miley shut the door in the seventh with a hitless frame. Both teams showcased strong pitching, but Northbridge found a way to come out on top. Looking ahead, the Rams face a big challenge against Tantasqua Regional tomorrow at 4 PM. The Warriors boast a 7-2 record and sit comfortably in the top 50 teams in the state. Northbridge will need another sharp outing to extend their momentum against one of their toughest opponents yet.
