Northbridge Legion baseball lost a high scoring affair to Main South Legion this Sunday night in a 8-13 dogfight. Northbridge has had a challenging season overall, sitting at 5-8 for the season, down at the No. 8 seed for District 4 Legion Baseball. Northbridge has struggled to stay in the win column this season, with three losses in their last four games. Northbridge’s offense had a standout performance against Main South on Sunday, scoring eight runs on the day, its second highest scoring total of the season, but Main South simply had bigger hits in bigger moments. Northbridge’s offense has been kicking into gear as of late, which they will need in their game tonight. Unfortunately for Northbridge, they have another tough test against Leominster tonight at 5:30 PM at Blackstone Valley Tech. Leominster owns an 8-2 record on the season, which has them tied for the two seed, and have won three straight games. Expect Northbridge to put up a valiant effort, but the odds are stacked against them in this matchup.
