The Northbridge Rams returned to the win column last night with a 7–2 triumph over the Blackstone Valley Tech Beavers. Matt Coughlin ignited a four-run sixth inning by driving home two runs, turning a one-run game into a decisive victory. David Scichilone chipped in with a single and two RBIs, while the pitching staff held the Beavers to two runs over seven innings. This bounce-back came after a tough 5–4 loss to Oakmont Regional, a contest in which the Rams battled back late but fell just short. Northbridge’s bullpen was tested that night, surrendering a five-run fourth inning that ultimately proved the difference. Last night, however, the starters and relievers combined to limit Blackstone Valley’s offense and secure a confidence-boosting win. Now at 5–4 on the season, the Rams set their sights on Bristol-Plymouth, which visits Northbridge on Friday at 3:45 PM. The Warriors have showcased quality pitching and disciplined offense this year, making them a formidable opponent. For Northbridge to build on its momentum, the Rams will need a full seven-inning performance, sharp defense, timely hitting, and consistent pitching to keep pace in the competitive second half of the 2025 campaign.
