The Nipmuc Warriors girls’ track and field team secured the Dual Valley Conference Championship Tuesday with an impressive 146.5 points, 40 points clear of runner-up Whitinsville-Christian. Nipmuc’s deep roster delivered balanced scoring across sprints, hurdles, throws, and relays. Standout performances included Julia Lenfest’s victories in both the 100-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash, Riley Restic’s wins in the 100-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles, and Cameron Getman’s gold-medal throws in the discus and shot put. In total, Nipmuc captured seven event titles and added multiple runners-up and top-five finishes, underscoring the team’s comprehensive strength. Where Nipmuc didn’t win, the Warriors often finished close behind, highlighting their competitive edge. Their relay squads posted clutch times, and throwers delivered consistent marks that amassed critical points. With this league championship under their belts, the Warriors now set their sights on sectional and state competitions, where they will seek to convert their conference dominance into broader postseason success. Track fans should stay tuned as Nipmuc aims to extend its winning ways and dominate like it did in the DVC Championships.
