Johnny Desmond was a bright spot in the passing game, hauling in 113 receiving yards and keeping drives moving when they mattered.

Nipmuc sits at 1-2 early in the campaign after facing two of the state’s upper-echelon programs in Uxbridge and Medfield. The schedule eases a bit this weekend with a matchup against Montachusett Regional, a 0-3 Bulldogs team that should present Nipmuc an opportunity to regroup, sharpen fundamentals, and move back toward .500 play. Adjustments on both sides of the ball will be pivotal as the Warriors aim to bounce back.
