The Medway Mustangs baseball team recovered from two straight losses with a commanding 5–0 shutout of Millis on Wednesday, moving to 12–7 on the season. Johnny Farrell led the charge on the mound, pitching seven scoreless innings and striking out nine while mixing precise fastballs and off-speed offerings to keep the Mohawks off balance. Offensively, Jackson Duguay keyed the attack, going 3–4 with three RBIs and a double. His timely hits in the first and fourth innings provided all the run support Farrell needed, as the Mustangs’ defense played a fundamentally sound game to protect its lead. Medway now prepares for its regular-season finale against Millbury, a 14–5 team seeded fifth in Division 4. A win today at 4 PM would boost Medway’s D3 playoff seeding and inject momentum heading into tournament play. With their ace on the mound and a potent lineup, the Mustangs look poised to end the home slate on a high note. Regardless of the result, it is beneficial for the Mustangs to face off against a playoff team right before their postseason run starts.
