The Milford Scarlet-Hawks boys volleyball team turned in a strong campaign this spring, finishing with a 13–9 record and a first-round playoff win. The program produced several standouts, including three Hockomock League All-Stars: Mayck Moreira, Diego Inacio-Santos, and Gus Da Silva. Among that trio, Da Silva especially made waves during his breakout season.
As Milford’s lead outside hitter, Da Silva racked up 368 kills, 206 digs, 20 blocks, and 29 aces on the year, playing a critical role in both offensive production and defensive coverage. Those totals brought his career kill count to 550, giving him a strong platform to build from heading into his senior year.
Because of his dynamic performance, Da Silva was recently named to the Boston Globe All-Scholastics team, an honor reserved for about twenty of the top players in Massachusetts. With that recognition in hand, the rising senior now sets his sights on a new level, potentially contending for Hockomock MVP honors next spring.
As Milford reloads for another run, expect Da Silva to once again be at the center of it all, aiming to lead the Scarlet-Hawks to a deeper playoff push and possibly one of the best seasons in program history.
