Milford Legion baseball picked up right where it left off, following Tuesday’s 7-1 win over Leominster with another dominant showing, beating Framingham 16-6 Thursday night. Despite scoring seven in their previous game, that matched Milford’s second-lowest run total this season, it was a sign of how explosive their offense has been all summer.
Framingham came into the contest having dropped four straight and desperate for a win, but they ran into a Milford squad firing on all cylinders. Milford’s offense exploded once again, jumping out early and never letting up. The bats were relentless, and Framingham’s pitching staff couldn’t contain the damage.
Milford’s top three bats, Nick Pedroli, Sean McGee, and Brayden Lewis, combined for 5 hits and an incredible 10 RBIs. Anthony Lapierre had a great start, going six strong innings, with two earned runs and two strikeouts. The victory moves Milford to a perfect 16-0 record, and they’ll look to stretch it to 17 straight when they host Hudson Friday at 7 PM. Hudson has won three of its last four and will be seeking revenge after an earlier 14-1 loss to Milford.
