Milford Legion Baseball Standouts Named To Legion All-Star Game

Milford Legion Baseball has been fantastic all summer, sitting at an undefeated 13-0 record and lapping the competition towards a potential championship banner. Milford has had contributions from across the board, but two have shone brighter than most. Upcoming Nipmuc seniors Gavin Metcalf and Josh Giancola have been superstars for Milford this summer. Josh has been an exceptional first baseman for legion ball, while Giancola’s pitching prowess and big bat have provided fireworks all season long. This is no surprise considering both of their Junior Seasons for Nipmuc, which saw Gavin bat .373 with a .468 OBP and a .412 slugging percentage, while Giancola went 7-1 with a 3.50 ERA with a .308 batting average. These two studs helped the Warriors make it into the playoffs and will look to make a deeper push in Legion ball this summer. These two are two of the best players on the best team in their division, expect them to make noise at the All-Star game this Monday, and expect them to make their names known for the rest of the season, and postseason as well.
