Milford’s baseball team has been fantastic this season and looked to continue its dominant start to the year last night against Main South. Milford has won twelve straight games to start the season, most recently being Hudson last Friday. Milford was supposed to face off against Shrewsbury Tuesday night, but the thunderstorms postponed this heavyweight matchup to a later date. Milford looked to capture their thirteenth straight win against Main South (Eighth seed) last night, and unsurprisingly, Milford did so with flying colors. Milford did what they’ve done all season in this one, beating Main Mouth 13-2 in a dominant affair. Milford scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back. Keith Lee and Gavin Metcalf were fantastic in the batter’s box in this one, with them combining for three hits and six RBIS. Anthony LaPierre held down the fort on the mound, going six strong innings, giving up one walk, four hits, and ten strikeouts. Milford keeps their momentum going, and they will look to get to an even 14 straight wins against Cherry post tonight at 8 PM at Rochdale Park. Milford’s dynamic offense, pitching staff, and defensive unit make them the favorite heading into the playoffs.
