Milford Legion Baseball’s historic season came to a close at the hands of East Springfield in a two-game district semifinal series. On Sunday, the game ended with East Springfield eking out a 3–2 win thanks to a three-run first inning, an early advantage Milford could never completely erase despite Keith Lee’s two hits and an RBI.

Last night’s Game 2 was a back‑and‑forth affair until the seventh. Milford carried a 5–3 lead into the bottom of the inning, fueled by Sean McGee’s two RBIs and Brayden Lewis’s three-hit effort. However, East Springfield answered with a decisive five‑run rally to claim an 8–5 victory and send Milford home. Despite the outcome, Milford’s lineup continued to produce with McGee and Lewis, along with the pitching staff keeping Milford within striking distance until the end.

The series featured a lengthy delay between games after an on‑field altercation prompted a suspension of play, but that did nothing to cool the teams’ competitive fire. Milford’s players showed fight to the last out, capping a campaign defined by a flawless 20–0 regular season and unmatched depth.

Although the season ended sooner than hoped, Milford can take immense pride in an undefeated run and the high bar they set. With most contributors returning, the Legion will look to convert regular-season dominance into postseason success in 2026.
