Medway Girls Lacrosse has kicked off the 2025 season with a balanced 2-2 record, experiencing both highs and lows on the field. The Mustangs dropped their opener to Medfield, falling 20-8, before bouncing back with a commanding 21-9 win against Norton. A close 15-12 defeat to Dover-Sherborn put them in a tight spot, but a resounding 20-12 victory over Sharon has provided a much-needed boost.
Key to the Mustangs’ recent success have been the standout performances of Olivia Melanson and Annabelle Gerber. Against Sharon, Melanson impressed by scoring four goals along with two assists, while Gerber added even more firepower by chipping in seven goals and an assist. Their efforts have been instrumental in shifting the momentum in Medway’s favor.
With their next matchup against Bellingham looming this Thursday, the Mustangs are eager to capitalize on their opponent’s struggles—Bellingham is 0-4. Medway is determined to build on their win, aiming to improve their record to above .500 and establish a more consistent season moving forward.
