The Medfield Warriors closed the regular season 13-5-0 and earned a No. 4 seed in the Division 3 field hockey bracket, and three players were named to the TVL All-Star team after a productive year. Medfield opened postseason play with a 6-0 victory over Wilmington, eked out a 2-1 win at Nauset Regional, and then bowed out in the quarterfinals to Watertown.

Eva Thomson paced the offense with an 18-goal, eight-assist season that made her one of the league’s most productive forwards. Thomson’s scoring touch and willingness to finish in the circle provided a consistent threat for the Warriors.

Genna McDonald also landed on the All-Star list after totaling 15 goals and 14 assists, including at least one hat trick during the campaign. McDonald’s creativity and playmaking ability regularly unlocked defenses and complemented Thomson’s finishing.

Cecelia Crosby rounded out Medfield’s selections with two goals and eight assists while anchoring the midfield with important defensive responsibilities. Crosby’s game-management and tenacity in transition earned praise from coaches and voters alike.

Together, these three players embodied Medfield’s competitive season and gave the program momentum and young pieces to build around as it looks to return to the deep playoff conversation next fall.
