Medfield earned revenge for last season’s title-game loss with a dominant 5-0 semifinal victory over Nauset, a performance that combined stingy defense, excellent goaltending, and timely offense. Nauset piled up shots, but Medfield’s goalie repeatedly made the saves that kept the Warriors ahead and eventually broke the game open.
Matt Dickson and Luke Dickson each scored to help Medfield control the early frames while the team limited high-quality scoring chances from Nauset. Jack Blake added a power-play goal that swung momentum when the contest was still tight. Senior Max Abramson finished with a two-goal night and closed the scoring with an empty-net tally that reflected Medfield’s control in the late stages. In net, Louie Slesar posted a shutout and made several timely stops, especially on high-volume stretches where Nauset pressured.
Medfield now moves on to face top-seeded Hanover in the D3 final at TD Garden. Hanover’s season resume earned the No. 1 seed, and the matchup will test Medfield’s special-teams execution and depth scoring. The Warriors will lean on the momentum from a comprehensive semifinal as they prepare for the biggest game of the year.
