The Medfield boys’ Hockey Team has had an exceptional season, finishing the regular season at 18-1-1 and breezing through the playoffs. Ranked among the top 50 teams nationally and in the top 10 in Massachusetts, the Warriors have earned their spot in the finals with impressive ease. Their season success, however, will be put to the ultimate test as they face the dominant Nauset Regional Warriors— the only team to hand Medfield a loss this year.
Nauset has been nearly unstoppable in the postseason, outscoring opponents by an astounding 27-1, with Marblehead managing the lone goal. In their previous encounter, Nauset secured a 4-0 win over Medfield, a narrow margin considering their high-powered performance. As a top 20 national team and one of the top 3 in Massachusetts, Nauset enters the matchup as the clear favorite.
Despite the odds, Medfield is determined to pull off an upset and finish their season with a stunning victory. The two teams, both carrying the Warriors moniker, will square off this Sunday, March 16th at 9 AM under the bright lights at TD Garden, where high stakes and fierce competition are sure to deliver an unforgettable contest.
