The Medfield girls’ basketball team continued its dominant season, remaining unbeaten after an impressive 62-13 win over Dover-Sherborn on Tuesday. The Warriors’ balanced attack and stifling defense have defined their campaign, and they continue to separate themselves in the TVL small at 7-0.
Medfield’s recent stretch features a pair of lopsided wins: the 62-13 victory over Dover-Sherborn and an 83-31 rout of Norton last Friday. Those outcomes bookend a vibrant Senior Night performance in which Tess Baacke poured in 29 points with eight rebounds and five assists, while Naya Annigeri added 19 and reached the 1,000-point milestone during her junior year. Against Dover-Sherborn, Annigeri led the balanced scoring with 14 points, Abby Broderick contributed 12, and Stella Scobbo chipped in 10 as the Warriors displayed depth across the lineup.
Medfield’s dominance has produced state-wide recognition, with the Boston Herald ranking the Warriors No. 1 in Eastern Mass and the MIAA rating them highly in D2 based on average margin and opponent ratings. The Warriors sit at a perfect 17-0 and will pause briefly before hosting Medway next Thursday at 6 p.m., a solid 12-3 opponent seeded No. 5 in D3 girls hoops. Medfield will look to carry its defensive intensity and balanced scoring into that matchup as it pursues a flawless regular season.
