The Medfield Warriors boys’ lacrosse team secured the Tri-Valley League Small School championship due to their stellar 10-0 record in the league. The Warriors have been an upper-echelon lacrosse team all year, so this championship was no surprise. On top of this achievement, the Warriors triumphed with a 13–8 victory over Division 1 juggernauts Lincoln-Sudbury on Tuesday night. Medfield overcame a 4–3 halftime deficit by outscoring the Tigers 8–4 in the second half. Senior attackman Braedan Sutton led the charge with four goals, while Ben Lusby added three more. The Warriors’ face-off specialist Johnny Olenik dominated possession, fueling Medfield’s offense throughout the second half. Lincoln-Sudbury, the top-ranked Division 1 program, had not lost since mid-April. Medfield’s win not only capped a perfect comeback against a top-tier opponent but also underscored their status as the No. 1 Division 3 team statewide. With a 14–2 overall mark, the Warriors will carry this momentum into the postseason. Their balanced attack, suffocating defense, and championship pedigree make them favorites to add another state title to their decorated program.
