The Uxbridge Spartans football team engaged in a high-scoring affair with the BVT Beavers last Friday night, emerging with a 55-40 victory in an offensive showcase. The Beavers led 13-0 in the first quarter, but Uxbridge clawed back as Camden LaChapelle’s impact shifted the game.
LaChapelle ravaged the BVT defense, rushing for 265 yards on 28 carries and scoring five rushing TDs, while also hauling in a 46-yard receiving touchdown. Uxbridge trailed early but seized control after a LaChapelle score and a momentum-swinging 40-yard pick-six that flipped the script.
The Beavers weren’t without firepower; Bryce Sheldon produced four touchdowns on the night, but it wasn’t enough to match the Spartans’ multifaceted attack. Uxbridge has now won two in a row following a 39-33 overtime loss to Auburn and will look to extend the streak against Bay Path on Halloween at 7 PM.
The win followed a 35-28 victory over the Woolies in their previous matchup, showcasing Uxbridge’s recent form. The Spartans will aim to climb into the top five of the D7 power rankings with continued big performances.
