WRENTHAM — King Philip Warrior Football is getting ready to kick off the season with its Pigskin Pig Out fundraiser, bringing the community together for barbecue while supporting the football program and Gridiron Club.

The event will be held at Wrentham American Legion Post 225 and will feature a full barbecue spread for those who purchase a meal ticket.

Tickets are $30 per person and include slow-cooked pulled pork, ribs, brisket and classic sides. Children under 5 eat free. A cash bar will also be available with soft drinks and adult beverages.

Those who do not plan to eat are still welcome to attend and take part in the event. Donations will be accepted to support King Philip student-athletes.

Organizers are encouraging attendees to bring lawn chairs and pop-up tents. Outside food will not be permitted.

Reservations for barbecue plates close Sept. 1, and organizers are encouraging supporters to purchase tickets early before the event sells out.

A rain date of Monday, Sept. 7 has also been scheduled.
