Izzy Trull was exceptional this season for the Franklin Panthers girls’ tennis team and finished up her Franklin career in style. Izzy did it all this season, winning a player of the week award, guiding Franklin to a top 15 seed in D1 girls tennis, culminating in an MVP and All-Star bid. Izzy was the heartbeat of Franklin’s impressive 13-4 record, which earned her a well-deserved Kelley-Rex Division MVP trophy and playoff berth. Trull’s strong singles play, along with Franklin’s two other all-stars in Brook Daniels and Sydney Tolonen, guided Franklin to a tough win over Hopkinton in the Round of 32. Ultimately, the Panthers fell to No. 4 Wellesley in the Round of 16, who ended up winning the D1 championship. Despite this disappointing end, Izzy and the Panthers faced the class of D1 girls’ tennis and came up short despite inspired performances across the board. Izzy had an excellent season, which saw her lead Franklin to a deep playoff run, win eleven matches in a row, and win an MVP award by the end. She should be proud of her senior campaign and look back fondly at the Panthers’ 2025 season collectively.
