Hudson Legion Baseball captured the American Legion Region 6 title with a decisive victory over Northborough. Anthony Moura earned Player of the Game honors with a complete-game performance: four hits allowed and four strikeouts, stifling Northborough’s lineup from the first pitch.

Behind Moura’s arm, Hudson’s defense was flawless, zero errors, and displayed the fundamentals that have become the team’s hallmark. Shortstop Jackson Libby shone both in the field and at the plate, ripping a double and driving in three runs to provide crucial early support.

The regional crown earns Hudson a spot in the Department Senior Championship tournament beginning Saturday in Quincy. Last year’s finals defeat to Shrewsbury adds motivation; this year, coach Bowen’s squad arrives battle-tested and brimming with confidence.

Contributions came from across the roster, reflecting Hudson’s depth. Offensively, timely hits turned Moura’s quality start into a comfortable multi-run cushion. Defensively, every infielder and outfielder made the play when it mattered most. As Hudson carries its Region 6 banner into Quincy, expect the same mix of strong pitching, sound defense, and opportunistic offense that has fueled its run. With a championship pedigree and momentum on its side, Hudson will look to avenge last year’s loss and claim the Department title.
