Hopkinton High School’s Maddie Recupero capped off her senior year with one of the highest honors in Massachusetts high school soccer, being named the MA Gatorade Player of the Year. The award recognizes excellence on and off the field, and Recupero checks every box. On the field, she was a force all season, scoring 28 goals and adding 15 assists. Her production helped lead the Hillers into the postseason before their campaign ended in the Round of 16. She is also a two-time TVL MVP and earned the title of Eastern Mass Girls Soccer Coaches D1 Player of the Year.

Off the field, Recupero’s résumé is just as impressive. She holds a 4.62 GPA, is an accomplished pianist, and is deeply involved in community service. She has committed to playing soccer at Princeton University and continues to compete with her club team, FC Stars. She’ll be participating in playoff soccer in San Diego this summer. Hopkinton has been fortunate to have an athlete and person of Maddie’s caliber. Her legacy on and off the field will leave a lasting impact on the program.
