Hopkinton Hillers Continue Dominance in Boys’ Track and Field

The Hopkinton Hillers boys’ track and field team has carried its momentum all season, improving to 4–0 overall and sharing first place in the Tri-Valley League with Dedham. Last night’s home meet against Norwood proved to be no exception, as the Hillers rolled to a 117–18 victory—outscoring their opponents by 99 points. Every event saw strong Hillers performances, from the sprints to the distance runs and field events, underscoring the squad’s depth and versatility. Hopkinton’s commanding win over Norwood followed similarly lopsided victories in their previous meets. At Ashland, the Hillers posted a 101–31 score, a 70-point margin that highlighted their sprint relays and field-event strength. Against Holliston, they secured an 84–52 decision, showcasing balanced scoring across hurdles, vault, and throws. These consistent blowouts have cemented the Hillers’ reputation as the team to beat in the TVL and positioned them as rising contenders at the state level. With a week off, Hopkinton will return to action this Thursday at 4 PM when they host Dedham High School. That meet won’t carry the same level of expected dominance. Dedham sits at the top of the league, and will serve as a critical test before postseason qualifiers. If the Hillers can secure a fifth straight win, they’ll cement their unbeaten conference run and head into district championships with confidence.
