The Hopkinton Hillers boys tennis team continued their outstanding season with a 5-0 sweep of the Medfield Warriors on Tuesday night. The win marked their tenth straight victory and reaffirmed their dominance in the Tri-Valley League. Despite initial concerns that Medfield could threaten the streak, those fears were quickly put to rest. Max Sendele and Joe Krattenmaker secured convincing wins in the first two singles matches, setting the tone early. The Hillers didn’t drop a single match, with the 1st doubles team of Rishit Shekhar and Kais Guessab also cruising to victory. The team effort has been a consistent theme all season for Hopkinton, a squad that boasts depth, chemistry, and experience. Nearly every player on the team, excluding Max, is a returning All-Star, and Max himself has stepped into the varsity spotlight with remarkable composure and performance. Hopkinton entered the season with high expectations as defending TVL champions and a recent quarterfinalist in the state playoffs. They’ve met—and perhaps exceeded—those expectations so far. The Hillers will look to extend their unbeaten run to 11-0 when they host Dover-Sherborn tomorrow. With the way this team is playing, it’s not a question of if they’ll win, it’s how far they’ll go.
