Hopkinton Boys Lacrosse Drops Finale But Looks Ahead to Playoffs

The Hopkinton boys’ lacrosse team fell to Falmouth, 15-2, in Monday night’s regular-season finale, but the Hillers still secured a spot in the Division 2 state tournament. They finished the year at 9-9, landing the No. 22 seed in a competitive playoff field. Against Falmouth, the Hillers were outmatched in possession and struggled to generate offense. The Clippers dominated faceoffs and capitalized on transition opportunities, building a commanding lead early. The Hillers were unable to run their offense effectively in Falmouth’s zone, which doomed the Hillers. Despite the loss, Hopkinton has reason for optimism heading into the postseason.
