The Hopedale softball team had a full plate over the weekend, playing and winning two games in a single day. The Blue Raiders opened Saturday with a 13–6 victory over Sutton and followed it up with a tight 4–2 win over Milford. In Game 1, Hopedale’s offense exploded behind Kenzie Reynolds (2-for-4, HR) and Bella Federico (2 RBIs), with timely hitting and aggressive base running. In the nightcap, the Raiders showed their defensive chops. Emily Atwood pitched a complete game, allowing two runs while striking out six. Key moments included Layden MacDonald’s clutch two-RBI single and Mia Casey’s two-hit, one-RBI effort. Trailing most of the game, Hopedale rallied for a three-run sixth to secure the win. With the sweep, the Blue Raiders improved their playoff outlook and now sit at 13–6. Their ability to win in different ways, by slugging it out or locking in defensively, bodes well heading into their final regular-season matchup Monday at Medway. A strong finish could give Hopedale key momentum heading into the postseason, where they will look to raise a banner.
