The Hopedale Junior Babe Ruth baseball team capped a perfect 14–0 summer with a thrilling 7–3 championship victory over Nipmuc White. Dominant all season, Hopedale’s offense and defense combined for a banner‑raising playoff run.
In the title game, Hopedale’s pitching and fielding set the tone early with two key pickoffs and a suicide squeeze that kept Nipmuc off balance. The offense erupted with timely hits and aggressive baserunning, including a highlight‑reel pickle play that electrified the crowd. Despite Nipmuc White’s three runs, Hopedale’s bats proved too potent. Hopedale completed its perfect season and was simply too balanced and dynamic to be topped in the summer of 2025.
Hopedale’s balanced attack featured contributions from throughout the lineup, and veteran leadership guided the perfect summer. Now, as these young champions prepare to graduate to the Senior Babe Ruth ranks, they aim to carry momentum forward and chase another title. Fans should mark their calendars and pay attention to both the Junior and Senior Babe Ruth squads of Hopedale. Hopedale’s 2026 squads at both levels will be ones to watch and contenders.
