Hopedale’s Girls Basketball team is riding high after an outstanding regular season, and they’re bringing that energy into the playoffs. In the Round of 32, the Blue Raiders delivered a commanding performance by beating Cape Cod RVT 69-38. Although Hopedale, as the number 1 seed, was expected to win against the 32 seed, the 31-point margin highlights just how sharp the team is playing.
Next up in the Round of 16, Hopedale faces Minuteman Regional, who advanced with a narrow 41-38 win over Pioneer Valley Christian Academy. Despite Minuteman Regional’s strong regular season, where they finished first in their league, they are seen as underdogs against the Blue Raiders.
Favored to win the bracket, Hopedale is determined to extend its playoff success. However, in a single-elimination format, every game is a new challenge. The matchup is scheduled for today at 5 PM at Hopedale High School (25 Adin St, Hopedale, MA 01747), with tickets priced at $6.25 for students and senior citizens and $11.50 for adults.
