Blackstone-Millville wrapped up its baseball season Monday afternoon against Greater Lowell Tech, a solid team sitting just outside the playoff bubble with a 10-7 record. The Chargers struggled to keep pace, ultimately falling 10-3 in a game where Greater Lowell took control early and never let up. The opposition’s pitching staff neutralized Blackstone-Millville’s offense, getting out of jams and racking up strikeouts. On the other side of the ball, Greater Lowell made the most of their opportunities, capitalizing on miscues and delivering timely hits to build a commanding lead. The loss drops the Chargers to 2-17 on the year, ending their season on a five-game losing streak and outside the playoff picture. It’s been a tough campaign overall, marked by inconsistency on both sides of the ball. Still, there’s reason for hope as the Chargers head into the offseason. With a chance to reset, the team will look to target key areas for development in hopes of becoming more competitive next year. Incremental improvement could make a big difference for a team eager to reverse its fortunes.
