Jack Sullivan has been named an all-star for his play in District-6 Legion baseball for Franklin. Jack has been exceptional this summer for Franklin, being one of its biggest standouts and helping Franklin have a competitive summer. Jack is playing exceptionally well, hitting .410 with four doubles, six RBIs and 8 runs scored through eight games. Jack is also a superb defender at shortstop, one of baseball’s most demanding positions. He provides tremendous offensive and defensive value to a Franklin team that is hitting its stride and trying to enter the top half of its division well into the season. Unsurprisingly, Jack also was invaluable this season for the Franklin Panthers in D1 baseball, and helped Franklin make a deep playoff push. Jack slashed a .358 AVG/.473 OBP/.968 OPS this year for Franklin in his junior campaign, totaling 29 hits with 7 doubles and 2 triples. Without Jack, Franklin likely wouldn’t have made it deep into the playoffs before being bounced in the quarterfinals, and he will look to continue his all star play for the rest of Franklin Legion’s summer season. Keep an eye on Jack next Monday in the American Legion Mass All Star Game, where BP starts at 3:30 PM, and the game starts at 6 PM at Adams Field in Quincy.
