NATICK — Franklin Post 75 continued its unbeaten start to the American Legion Baseball season Wednesday night, defeating Natick Post 107 6-3 to improve to 10-0.
Franklin broke the game open with a four-run second inning and never relinquished the lead, adding two more runs in the fifth before holding off a late Natick rally.
Sean Kryzak led the Franklin offense with a monster performance, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Kryzak’s long ball highlighted the four-run second inning that gave Post 75 an early cushion.
Jack Sullivan added a strong night at the plate, finishing 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Ethan Edmunds drove in a run. Gavin Heneghan, Joe Goguen, Jacoby Brown, and Henry George each contributed a hit, with Goguen and George both crossing the plate.
On the mound, DJ Silverstein earned the win after allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out six while walking two. Colin Mont closed out the final 1.1 innings, surrendering just one hit while striking out two to secure the victory.
Natick was paced by Landon Sullivan, who collected two hits, while Mark Manning, Cam Gobeille, and Henry Kinchla each drove in a run. Starter Ethan Jones took the loss despite allowing just two earned runs over six innings.
