Franklin Post 75 Caps Perfect Regular Season with 11-0 Shutout of Morrisette Post 294

FRANKLIN — Franklin Post 75 completed a flawless regular season Tuesday night, cruising to an 11-0 five-inning victory over Morrisette Post 294 to finish the campaign undefeated and cement its status as one of the premier American Legion baseball teams in Massachusetts.

Franklin wasted little time taking control, scoring four runs in the first inning before adding five more in the second and two in the third. The pitching staff made the early offensive outburst stand up, combining on a four-hit shutout while allowing just two walks and striking out four.

Patrick Luizzi led the offensive attack, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Sean Kryzak finished 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while Jack Sullivan added a 3-for-4 performance with three runs scored. Owen Miller contributed 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs, and two runs scored, and Ethan Edmunds drove in two runs. Gavin Heneghan also crossed the plate twice as Franklin collected 14 hits.

On the mound, Luizzi earned the victory, tossing three scoreless innings while allowing three hits and striking out two. Zach Winer and Henry George combined to finish off the shutout, surrendering just one hit over the final two innings.

The victory completes a remarkable regular season for Franklin Post 75, who finishes undefeated while outscoring opponents 169-20. They look to make serious noise in the District 6 playoff tournament.
