Rising senior pitcher DJ Silverstein from Franklin High has committed to Bentley University, capping a breakout year that made him a notable recruit for the Falcons. Silverstein was a key part of Franklin’s rotation this spring, finishing with a 5-4 record, two saves, and a 2.41 ERA while holding opposing hitters to a .261 average. His consistency and ability to handle multiple roles made him a trusted arm all season.

Silverstein carried that momentum into the summer with the GBG Northeast Hawks, tossing 34 innings and recording 34 strikeouts while posting a 1.65 ERA and limiting opponents to a .248 batting average. Those performances under summer lights confirmed his readiness for the next level and drew attention from college programs. Bentley extended the offer, and Silverstein accepted, giving him a platform to continue developing in a competitive Division II program.

For Franklin, the commitment is a testament to Silverstein’s steady improvement and work ethic. He’ll finish his senior season focused on helping the Panthers make a deep playoff run and leave the program on a high note before heading to Bentley and the next chapter of his baseball career.
